Individual spare parts for STERNGLAS watches are not sold or shipped separately.
If a component on your watch is damaged or defective, you can send in your watch via our repair service at any time. We'll then check which repair is possible and makes sense.
Why aren't spare parts shipped individually?
Many components of a watch need to be professionally fitted and then technically checked.
Depending on the component, the following work may be necessary, for example:
- professional fitting
- checking the function
- checking the fit and alignment
- if necessary, regulating the movement
- checking the seals or water resistance
That's why we always carry out the replacement of spare parts as part of a repair.
Which spare parts can I not order individually?
Technical spare parts are generally not sold or shipped separately.
These can include, for example:
- glasses
- crowns
- hands
- dials
- movements or individual movement parts
- bezels
- case parts
- pushers
- seals
- spring bars or other internal or technical components
If one of these parts is damaged or needs to be replaced, please contact our customer service.
Can I send in my watch for repair instead?
Yes.
Even though we don't ship spare parts individually, we're happy to check whether we can repair your watch via our repair service.
Whether a repair is possible depends on, among other things:
- the model of your watch
- the existing defect
- the age of the watch
- the availability of the required spare parts
Does my watch still need to be within the warranty period?
No.
Even after the warranty has expired, we're happy to check whether a repair is possible.
For a chargeable repair, we'll tell you the maximum possible repair costs for the defect you've described before you send in your watch.
We don't provide a classic cost estimate.
What happens if a spare part for my model is no longer available?
Especially with older models or models that are no longer offered, individual components may no longer be available.
In this case, we check whether:
- a compatible spare part can be used,
- another repair solution is possible,
- or what alternative we can offer you.
Should a repair no longer be possible, we'll of course let you know.
Should I send in my watch straight away?
Please don't send in your watch unsolicited.
First, contact our customer service and describe the problem to us as precisely as possible.
The following is helpful:
- the exact model of your watch
- your order number, if you have one
- a description of the damaged or defective component
- photos of the affected area
- if necessary, a short video, if this shows the problem more clearly
We'll then check what repair option is available and let you know the next steps.
Can I buy a spare part and fit it myself?
No. We don't offer technical spare parts for self-conversion or independent fitting.
Please also don't open the watch case yourself. Improper repair can cause further damage and may affect, among other things, the water resistance of the watch.
Does this also apply to straps?
Straps are accessories, not technical spare parts for the watch case. You can buy available STERNGLAS straps as usual through our online shop.
You can find out which straps suit your watch in our help centre article "Which strap suits my STERNGLAS watch?".
How do I start a repair?
Contact our customer service and send us, ideally straight away:
- the model name
- your order number, if you have one
- a description of the defect
- photos of the damaged area
We'll check whether the required spare parts are available and whether a repair of your watch is possible.
We don't ship or sell individual spare parts – but you can register your watch with us for inspection and repair at any time.
