You have inserted the battery or pressed the reset button, but your wall clock is not setting the correct time or remains stuck at the 12 o'clock position?
This is completely normal behavior at first. In the vast majority of cases, it is not due to the battery. For radio-controlled wall clocks, this symptom indicates that there is currently no sufficiently strong radio signal being received at the current location.
What happens in the background?
After inserting the battery or pressing reset, the clock automatically moves to the 12 o'clock position. This is the calibration step to establish the starting point for the hands. Afterwards, the clock switches to reception mode and searches for the time signal.
If the signal at this location is too weak due to walls, electronic devices, or distance, the clock remains at 12 o'clock and waits for a sufficiently strong signal.
How changing the location helps:
Test a new spot: Place the clock at a different location as a test—preferably right near a window.
Avoid sources of interference: Make sure there are no large electronic devices, Wi-Fi routers, televisions, or thick reinforced concrete pillars in the immediate vicinity.
Restart the signal search: At the new location, press the reset button once more (or briefly remove the battery and reinsert it).
Give it some time (up to 24 hours!): Reception can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours depending on the environment and time of day. It is best to give the clock up to 24 hours, as radio-controlled clocks synchronize automatically and very reliably, especially at night when atmospheric interference is lower.
