Why does leather change over time?
Leather is a natural material and normally changes over time through use.
Sunlight, moisture, sweat, friction and care products can affect the colour, surface and structure. As a result, leather can become darker, softer or develop an individual patina.
This ageing process is not a fault, but a natural property of the material.
You can slow down the change by keeping your leather strap dry, avoiding direct sun and cleaning it gently on a regular basis.
