Can stainless steel rust?
316L stainless steel is generally very resistant to corrosion and rust.
Even so, care is important. Sweat, salt, chlorine, chemicals or cleaning agents can affect the surface if they stay on the material for a long time.
After contact with salt water or chlorinated water, you should carefully clean the relevant stainless steel parts with clear water and then dry them thoroughly.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive sponges. This will keep the material looking good and staying durable in the long run.
