For your STERNGLAS strap, you need the matching buckle width, as the width at the strap lug (watch case) can differ from the closure (buckle). Straps with a 16 mm lug width (e.g., for Naos XS models) require a 14 mm buckle, while straps with a 20 mm lug width require an 18 mm buckle.
How to determine the correct buckle width
To choose the right replacement buckle, check the name and lug width of your strap:
16 mm lug width (e.g., straps with "16" in the name for Naos XS): Require a 14 mm buckle, as the strap tapers slightly toward the buckle.
20 mm lug width (e.g., straps with "20" in the name): Require an 18 mm buckle.
How to replace the buckle yourself
Lightly compress the integrated spring bar on the back of the old buckle using a small tool or your fingernail.
Carefully remove the old buckle parts from the strap.
Insert the spring bar into the new buckle.
Guide one side of the spring bar into the hole of the new buckle.
Press down the other end of the spring bar and let it snap into the opposite opening of the buckle.
